Backyard Hillside

We are in the starting phases of building our new home! (Make sure to check back often for update photos and inspiration). We are all extremely excited, and of course I am stressing over every last detail. The lot isn't huge, and has a pretty steep backyard hillside. I want to make use of every inch of that real estate. I've been searching for ideas of how to terrace and landscape the backyard, and came across this beauty, The Staglin Family Vineyard in Napa:

Another amazing backyard hillside is this residential project in California by landscape architect, Andrea Cochran. I just saw her work featured in House & Garden Magazine. Who wouldn't want the field of lavender as a view? You can find many more amazing landscapes on her website: acochran.com.

Below is a pic of our property. Think we can make it look anything like the above inspiration pics?

Kitchen Finishes

I had to select our kitchen finishes for our new build today. Greige is definitely on trend right now, and I'm using a light version of it in our kitchen. Below are the hardwood floors, light gray cabinets, white Quartz countertops and white mini herringbone tile backsplash.

Wallpaper

Wallpaper trends seem to come and go in phases, but right now wallpaper is quite the rage and can be a great accent in so many settings. Here are a few of the wallpapers that I've used lately (all of them are from Thibaut - my favorite place to start searching for wallpaper). Keep a look out on the blog for images of where I used these wallpaper designs.
